Artist Statement
Painting and writing have been the prime movers in my life. The wonder of capturing the beauty of the world on canvas or paper never gets old. It’s not enough to make a pretty picture, it needs to tell the viewer what I feel about what I paint.
I grew up in Pennsylvania then moved to the west coast and worked as a flight attendant for 25 years during which time, I had a pottery business in the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been painting on my own most of my life though, it wasn’t until I retired and moved to Oregon did I start to study painting. First with noted painter, Lyn Lasneski and the with the on line school, Acrylic University during the Covid years. I now paint in oils and acrylics.
